Dear Everyone:

Some of you may have heard that there was a suicide bombing at the Erez crossing into Gaza today. The following is from Jennifer, who wants me to let you know that she, George and Cisco are fine.

As she states, this just about makes it certain that no one will get into Gaza (not that they were going to get in anyway). It may also mean that "Plan B", which was for someone from the Rafah municipality to come out and meet with them, will also not happen. I will keep you posted.

Hello Barb,

Please let everyone know that George, Cisco and I are all fine. By now you have no doubt heard about the suicide bombing at the Erez Crossing into Gaza.

This one hit me worse than the others: I was standing in the Erez offices at the Erez Crossing yesterday at almost exactly the same time as the bombing today. I talked to four of the soldiers there for about half an hour. The last thing I said was "see you tomorrow" (because my press card is supposedly going to be ready today).

Erez will shut down now. No one will get in. And the Israeli Press Office just called me to say that my press card (which is indeed completely legitimate) is "not yet approved".
