Friends,

First, I want to wish everyone a lovely holiday - wherever you all are. I hope that you are with people you love and are doing exciting and happy things.

Second, I have finally compiled all of my email addresses together. Some of you may have been receiving some of my email updates, others maybe not. I want to make sure that people that don't want my emails are not being bothered by them. So, if you no longer interested (or don't want to begin) receiving my updates from Nablus, Palestine, please let me know by email.

Things are becoming more tense in Nablus lately. Today is the 8th day of an invasion of Balata refugee camp, and today soldiers set up checkpoints and roadblocks inside of the city, cutting off Askar and Balata camps from the rest of the city. Nine people have been killed in the last week, and 40+ injured. No one is able to get to school or work (this is the week of final exams for grade-school students, and school has been forced to be put on hold), and most people can't even leave their homes to buy bread or vegetables. As corny as it sounds, consider thinking about the people of Palestine, especially Nablus and Balata, over your holidays.
