Summer greetings on this first day of June! It seems a bit strange to be thinking about things happening in September and November already, but I guess that's the way we humans often do things. I'd like to ask you to consider saving the following dates:
September 23-25, 2005 -- for the regional SOA Watch meeting, which will be hosted here in Madison. Some of us at Edgewood will be collaborating with others to plan and host this meeting for folks from a 5-state Great Lakes Region. All in the Madison area will be welcome to attend. More details will be forthcoming, most probably early in August. Please pass this on to others who you think would be interested.
November 17-21, 2005 -- for the annual SOA Vigil at Ft. Benning, GA. I just called the Lamers bus company to begin the process of engaging a 49-passenger bus for this trip. Once again, we will tentatively plan for a send-off from the Edgewood College campus for around 4:30 PM on Thursday, Nov. 17, from St. Joseph Chapel. Our usual return time is the following Monday (11/21), early to mid-afternoon.
By sometime in September, I will have information sheets and registration forms available, which will include costs and many other details.
Just fyi, because I will not be in my office much during June-July, I will not be checking e-mail on a regular basis, so if you e-mail me something and do not hear from me for days or even weeks, fear not ... I will get to your message eventually!
